I bought the boat three years ago, first year was spent refinishing and cleaning the mess the previous owner did to it. Second year it sat idle while I was recovering from a back surgery. This year the motor went in the shop and came out with all new bearings, seals, water pump and carbs tuned. The work was free but now I notice a small amount of oil dripping from the lower unit. maybe a teaspoon a day. Im guessing a seal got smashed during the instal. Good news is it runs great, about 23 MPH pushing a heavy 16ft. fiberglass boat and two adults (200 lbs each). The looks I get from passerbys is priceless. And when I tell them its a 1957 model its even better. Now to find the source of the leak.
