1957-58 Johnson- Evinrude outboard motor 35hp

hello
i was wondering if a mercury shifter and throttle control will work with a evinrude motor.any help on this would be great. thanks in advance paul

Nope - you need an evinrude/johnson 2 handle control like this:

I suppose if you had a knack for modifications, you could probably adapt it, but normally, they wouldn't.

k thanks guys ending up getting a 71/72 50 hp evinrude with the controls. thanks for the help
