M#25930-08866 Last time I tried to start it the throttle would move with the revolution of the engine. The engine then stops when the throttle is buried. It will rotate backwards. Has anyone ever had this problem?

That will happen if an ignition coil or other ignition component comes in contact with the flywheel. Time to remove the flywheel and find what's rubbing.<br />If there's excessive play in the armature plate atop which the igntion coils sit, there's a simple solution for that.

Thanks, I knew I would have to pull the flywheel that is why I haven't messed with it in 3 months. Those flywheels are so much fun

Ah, it usually isn't that bad when the flywheel key isn't sheared. Jam the electric starter's pinion to remove the flywheel nut. Use a beefy harmonic balancer puller, three grade 8 1/4"-20 bolts about 3 or 4" long. Torque it up about 50ft/lbs, tap the centre bolt with a hammer, torque it up and repeat until it pops off. When you put the flywheel back on, torque it to every bit of 65 ft/lbs (if it were mine I'd go a little further than spec even). Don't forget to put the rachet on first. :)

BTW, you now should change your waterpump impeller, since you turned the motor anti-clockwise. Doing this can brake the vanes off the impleller.
