Ahoy,
The impeller is pushing water at low and high rpm but the motor develops high heat where the leg meets the motor. Too hot to hold your hand on.. Are there any hints as why it's hot in this area on both sides of the leg up close to where the leg attaches to the motor and anything i should be paying close attention to when I remove the bottom leg? My fast twin heats up in the same area, but not as hot .Could it be the bushing?
Thanks a bunch
Clay
PS Here is a pic of the motor as it was found at the farm. After two new plugs, and some tinkering, a pic of the Javelin on the water for the first time in over a decade. Cheers
