I have a broken spring in the air side of my fuel connector. Is there a rebuild kit for my fuel connector? If yes, where do I get it ? Any suggestions on what I should do.

$1.13 each for the o-rings is spendy? They're not hard to replace and considering the first set lasted close to 60 years, $2.26 is a pretty good investment in your motor.

Using a modified drill bit (flattened ends on a grinder) I press the brass retainers out from the hose barb side using my bench vice. Once you have it apart, swap in the new ones, reassemble the pins and springs, press the retainers back in and you're done!

The o rings don't bother me. The broken spring or whatever I will find on the inside does.Since both sides are the same age I thought if it didn't cost too much I would replace the components on both sides. Dave sent me a good link. After adding up the price of a rebuilt job it came to $80.00. When u r on Social Security there is a big difference between 2 bucks and 80. Thank u for your reply as I have always put the o rings in from the front but now I have to get at the inside to replace broken parts.I did alot of mechanical work on the muscle cars so I am motor inclined but car motors and outboard motors are quite a bit different after u get pass the fuel, spark and air to start bs. I also believe if u don't know how to do something ask someone who does. Thanks for your reply
