1957 johnson javelin

im trying to get this motor running,(ive fried the starter,luckily it has the pull start also)i need wiring and fuel line diagrams.this motor tries to start but just cant catch so i know it has spark.the fuel lines were all off and i put new hose but i dont know if i got everything right.model#RJE-19M SN#1682968 also what would be the correct setting for the carb adjustments?thanks

You need a Service Manual, catfish.<br /><br />Pro wrenches wont touch an engine without one. What hope does an amatuer have?

Hey there,

I have recently been blessed with the Red Coloured Johnson Service Manual, but before that I was able to source out alot of material from our Main City Library. Further, there is a great deal of info on the internet including diagrams and OMC documents. Purchasing a manual is quite often the easier route if you can find the right one. All the best!
