1957 Johnson RDE-19 gearcase pivot pin washer needed 304083

Hello-

I have a 1957 Johnson 35hp model RDE that I am going through the gearcase right now. I cannot find a gasket for the shifter pivot pin screw anywhere online. Part number is 304083. Does anyone know where I can get one, they are listed as NLA with no superceded number to go to. I assume the original was a fiber washer? The crappy O-ring seal that comes with the rebuild kits now dry rot and crack withing a few years. Would rather not use them anymore. Thanks in advance!

A dealer would help you with this.----Amazon can't-----The pivot pin is common to the year 2011 or so.----Has been changed to take an o-ring.----So you could invest in an updated pin.-----Factory O-rings do NOT dry rot after a few years.----All too complicated , then make a gasket with some left over gasket material.---Will not cost a penny.
