Hello everyone,
Well, it happened, the impeller is shot.

I have it all apart now and am hoping to get some parts in the next few days. The taking apart was not too bad and I was careful to take some photos and keep the pieces in order.

I have a couple of questions with respect to assembly;

The gasket[part #304314] between the power head assembly and the lower unit looks real good upon removal of the power head. It stayed with the power head.

It is all intact and I am wondering if it, the gasket, needs to be replaced? Does it need any gasket goo applied to it prior to setting the power head back on the lower unit if I use the gasket that is there already or if I use a new one?

The parts removed from the driveshaft starting at the top; gasket 303355, plate 303356
, o ring 303347, seal 303391, spring 303357 and washer 303327 all look to be in great shape. I see no reason to replace them.

Do I have to put any kind of sealant between the exhaust housing and cover assembly and the gear case section?

There was no gasket or sealant of any kind there when I pulled the drive shaft and shift rod along with the impeller out upon removing the bolts.
The impeller housing is in good shape as is the plate and I have cleaned that all up.

Any suggestion re my questions would be appreciated as well as any tips re reassembly.
Thanks so much.
Sean.
