spent last couple days trying to get fire to bottom cyl. took the coil in today, had it checked, is good. checked plug wire, good-cleaned points and set to .020. changed top cyl condenser to bottom cyl still no fire and still had fire on top with bottom cyl condenser. coil is set flush with laminations. any suggestions, I am about out of patience and ideas?

About the only thing left is to swap coils, even though you had it checked.

How did you check plug wire?
That's where I'd go next....and make sure there isn't a wire connected wrong....or grounding out.

Have you ever had spark on lower cylinder?

Does it have a kill circuit?

Finally found the problem-bottom cyl coil wire had a short, sometimes I could get a reading on it and sometimes I couldn't. Took coil wire off my old 5hp M/W seahorse and put it on and it started on second pull.
Thanks guys for replies, appreciate all the help I get from all of the people on IBoats......
