i am in need of info of my 1958 johnson super seahorse 35hp model rds 20 serial#185401 i am in need of the rear lower cowling and info on the electric start is it 6 or 12 volt thanks thad

This will get you the part numbers you are needing. I would visit the sticky on salvage yards as you most likely are not going to find cowling any other way. As far as the starter, I think it is 12V, but you should be able to tell by looking on the starter and choke solenoid (if it is electric choke as well?), my '56 Lark had the voltage stamped on the parts, but it's possible that they aren't the originals.

1958 would be 12 volts. try AOMCI.org for parts. Place a free want-ad in their classifieds. I do have a 1959 Johnson 35hp parts motor. Not sure if the cowl is the same. PM me if interested.
