:confused:I have recently acquired a 1958 Seaking that I finally got running after a 4 year nap.
A new set of plugs and fresh gas did the trick. My question is this; the low speed adjustment knob spins around like a 45 record due to engine vibrations. I can't seem to see where I can tighten this up.
Does anyone know how to correct this???

A model number would help us to help you.

A '58 model should be a Gale built motor. (division of OMC) As such the low speed (and hi speed as well) needle should pass thru a brass nut to enter the carb. That brass nut is a 'packing gland'. Tightening it should tighten up the needle. Should it fail to do so it is evidence that the packing should be replaced. OMC carb kits contain new packing washers which are also available separately.

Thank You guys for all the help. The brass packing nut did the trick. I did not think to tighten this because it looked more like a shaft than a nut.
Thank you again and for the quick response.
