Both the mercury switch and the Starter Solenoid came in today. I installed them and attempted an engine start. It wants to, but....... kind of sputters and stammers for a few seconds on "electric choke" then quits.

If I remember correctly, The Low Idle Jet initial setting is 1 1/2 Open (from lightly seating), and the main Jet is 3/4 Open. At least that's what comes to mind. Fuel flow is good so I'm guessing I have to dial in the jet settings. Are these a good starting point for a Sea King?

The engine has very few hours since I rebuilt it some 10-15 years ago for my Father, so for the moment, I'm assuming electrical is all fine (I did a full replace on coils, points, plugs etc. back then) and all I'm expecting is a water pump replacement to get on the water. Fingers Crossed.

I was able to get the motor fired up and running in the test tank. It took a while but finally got the idle jet setting close enough to keep it running to tweek things in. Headed to the lake today this morning to dial in the main jet.
