Is there a float in this thing? I would assume so, I was trying to order a Sierra carb kit and none of them have the float for this.

I ordered a manual, guess it takes 2 weeks to go 300 miles, irritating. The things that happen when you try and save a buck!

Hi, Chris.

Yes, there is a float in the carb but it is not usually included in carb overhaul kits. Most of them have a seperate part number.

Your manual is not being shipped from Draper. It will be shipped by and from the publisher.

Good luck. :)

Sierra kits don't come with a float, you'll need to order that seperately from an OMC dealer. The replacement float costs about the same as the carb kit did.
Alternatively if you order the OMC carb kit it comes with a float.

So is the OEM pn 439071? That one will include the float?

I don't know the part number, but my dealer told me that all OMC carb kits come with the float. It may be cheaper though to order the Sierra kit and the OMC float seperately, it was for the Lightwin kit and float that I just bought. The Sierra gaskets and stuff seem just as good as anyone elses.

For you (in the States), getting the OEM carb kit just makes sense. It's only a couple bucks more than the Sierra kit, and it comes with that essential float. Both are pretty cheap anyway.

439071 seems right to me. That pn ought to come with the float.
