Hi all, I've had a 59 Holiday for 12+ years and the flame has recently been relit to "get'er done", so to speak. The original interior was gone but there are tell tale signs of where the front seats attached to the gunwales and sides of the boat. It appears they were back to back seats and from some info I got from an elderly gentleman that ran an old boat repair shop in Wilmington de I believe this is true. Some sort of bench seating across the rear but not sure. I am a stickler for putting things back to original (or as close as possible) but after years of searching have come up mostly empty handed. I posted on here several years ago but again came up with very little. Talked to starcraft a few times but the best they could do was send me a copy of an add with the early Holiday. No detail of the interior however. My question is, does anybody on here know of anyone that worked for starcraft in the late 50's or early 60's that could maybe put me in touch with them, or does anyone have anything to add. I found a 60 or 61 holiday but they had the back to back sleeper seats. I have an idea of what I am going to do but wanted to ask around one more time before I started in on it. Thanks in advance and happy boating.....

Look thru the pix posted here

I don't see a Holiday listed in 1958, but perhaps the details of your 1959 will match 1 of the models shown offered in 1958. Quite a few good pix, minimal details, but perhaps it will help.

There's lots of good info here too:

Starcraft brochures but no 1959's shown other then Jet, Ski Champ and Sea Farer. I don't see a Holiday listed until 1961.

Good luck and PLEASE let us see what you're working on ;)

Thanks! I've scoured the pics here and in the brochures and nothing on the later holidays even come close to the outline of the mounting points that I'm seeing in the original paint on my boat. The boat was my ex brother in-laws that my sister gave me. I managed to track down the owner prior to the ex bro and he is the one that tore the interior out of the boat but doesn't remember anything about it other than it was rotten. He was Spanish and didn't understand English very well so there was THAT barrier....... He had two very large bench seat made that ran length wise, I suppose it worked well for fishing as that's how is was when I got it and she saw a lot of trout flopping about in the floor..... It's titled as a 59 and one of the ladies I spoke with at starcraft said they did make them then but there's certainly nothing in the brochures is there.... Oh well!
