1959 Mermaid Queen Pontoon

My Hubby and I recently bought a 1959 Mermaid Queen pontoon boat. It has the sqaure, fiberglass pontoons and was manufactured in Indiana by H & T Manufacturing Company. I've been trying to find some info or pictures of it because of course it needs some TLC, but I'm having no luck. It has an Evinrude 10HP motor on it and has no steering wheel just the trolling handle. I'd like to see a picture of one to get an idea of what we're going to do to it as we restore it. If anyone could help us out I'd greatly appreciate any info or pics.

Welcome to iboats this is the best boat forum around and their many many people here who will help you out any way they can.

Would you mind me asking what your plans are for it, are you wanting to do a rebuild or a restoration. I looked around the net and wasn't able to find any info at all and personally I don't know who actually made the first toon and who put them into production but I am guessing it would be in the 1950`s era.

In 1959 I would of been about 5 years old and my granddad kept a house boat and a ski boat during those times and we were at the lake ever weekend and I don't remember seeing any pontoons around.

I would be really interested in seeing pictures of it though. The oldest I have seen around here is a 1963. One of the people at my marina has and I think its a Grumman made boat.

O and did I mention pictures , lol, lots of pictures.
