If you're talking about fixing it up to resell at a profit... highly doubtful.

If you're talking about fixing it up for yourself because you like it... if that's what you like to do, then do it. Do you have the time, money and skill to do a restore? Replace stringers and transom if necessary?

You have to check it out thoroughly somehow and decide if you're up to the task of doing whatever it needs. You're the only one who can really answer that.

Good luck.

I'm intrigued -- can you post a pic? For $50 I'd be temped to just pick it up and assess it at your leisure. If it's a hopeless case and/or beyond your ability or budget to restore -- dump it.

I'd go this route especially if it comes with any kind of trailer. You could easily make back five to ten times your investment on that piece alone, depending on condition.
