I recently bought a 60's model larson lapline and want to put an 85-115 hp outboard on it. I have been told that the original steering system of cable and pulleys can't handle that size of motor. Can the steering system be upgraded to rack and pinion fairly easily? Also....how do I find the exact year of the boat...I have the serial numbers. Thanks for any help!
