1960 40 HP Gale Outboard Motor

Hi , I am currently in the process of replacing coils and points, etc in this old outboard. I need new spark plug wires for this one. Where can i get them? Also are there any carb kits for this? <br /><br />thanks,<br />any info on this cool outboard is appreciated

Hi ,<br /> THe spark plug wires are easy - NAPA carries 7mm metallic core plug wire by the foot. Use your old ones as a pattern for length, and add 3-4 inches for good measure.<br /><br /> NAPA also carries the carb kit, #18-7010.<br /><br /> Your motor is nearly identical to similar vintage Evinrudes and Johnsons (built by OMC by their Gale Products division) so many parts are readily available, both new and used.
