Hi Guys.
I have just inherited a boat, trailer and motor. The Motor is a 1960 Evinrude Big Twin 40hp, I have just got it running (last night). It has had a New Impeller, New spark Plugs and new coils. I have also rebuilt the carb. As i said she is now running, and sounds great. I still have alot of work to do though. The tank for this motor is full of crap. I am hoping to flush it out and use this tank.
The boat is of plywood construction, Im not sure what make and model. But i have been told it is called a Sabre and was a racing boat. If anyone has any info about it it would be greatly recieved. The main stuts of the boat seam to be in good same, Although it does need a new hull and fins to get her water ready. There is also some work to be done on the upper deck. But this is mainly cosmetic so im not overly worried about this for now.
The trailer needs rebuilding, but is it made from 2' tubing so I am hoping to rebuild this myself too.
