I was just wondering what type of oil should go in the lower unit of my 1960 evinrude lark 2. I just got it started but the lower unit is empty. I've heard of 80w-90, is this the right oil? What do I need to fill it up from the bottom? Can I get all of these items at walmart? Thanks!

It's called HiVis 80/90w. This will be stated on the container, available at Wal*Mart, K-Mart, various marine type stores, your local dealership, probably NAPA.

Boat dealerships sell pumps that you screw into a litre type oil container that has a fitting that screws into the fill hole, fill the container and pump away.

Is there anything else I can get at walmart or another store that would do the same thing because I really don't even know where the closest boat dealership is to me. I have about 4 auto parts store in my town would they have anything like that? Thank you!

I put some supertech 80w-90 gl-5 gear oil in from walmart. Is this okay or should I get the high-viscosity stuff? Thanks!
