1960 Evinrude lark 40 hp leaking lower unit oil somewhere?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about where I could be leaking my lower unit oil to? I have checked the lower unit for cracks and I seem to be good there. Anyone know anything about the drive shaft seal on this motor? I.e how much would it cost part number? or any other places that it could be leaking from? Thanks for your help!!!!

Ill assume you can not see where it is leaking from?

Are you losing oil, or getting water into the gearcase?

If you can't see where the oil is leaking from then most likely it is the drive shaft. There are a couple of o-rings to keep things sealed.

Best thing to do is drain the g/c and have it pressure tested. Then you'll know where it's leaking.
