1960 Glastex Speed Queen needs new harness. Any ideas?

I've got a 1960 Speed Queen 15' fiberglas runa bout. The wiring is a mess. No harness at all. Using old wire.. nothing in cased. Can I build a new harness? as I've only got a few components.... tach and lights. Also, is there a junction box you could buy and just run everything out of. Instead of everything coming off the battery terminals. Thanks

We've all rewired our own boats -- welcome to the club. You want a "fuse box" and a "ground bus".

The two threads at the top of this forum have diagrams you can use as a pattern. Basically, battery + to fuse to switch to device to ground bus to battery - .

12V for the tach should come from the keyswitch accessory terminal, so it'll only be hot when the key is "on".
