Hi guy's, I'm trying to replace my impellor on my 1960 johnson, I took out the four bolts on the lower unit, i opened the elongated hatch and took the brass bolts out of the shifter coupler. The lower unit dropped about a 1/2 inch, and even after wobbling the unit it won't drop any further, I've tried forcing it a little bit, but I'm afraid of doing some kind of damage. I'm wondering if I have missed a step? Can anybody help? Parts Breakdown, see link further in coversation.

Have you tried (with the plug wires disconnected so you don't chop off your fingers) rotating the prop?

I had to do that when I dropped mine.
