I am refitting a 1960 fiberglass Sea King made by Gale products for Montgomery Wards. I need any information to aid in this restoration project, Manuals wiring diagrams, photo's, etc. I'm having trouble with info. on the 60hp motor. Help

The Gale 60 is a modified Johnson/Evinrude 50hp. Biggest modification is they have the 75hp lower unit gearcase. I was an outboard mechanic for a Gale dealer when the motor was new. Send me a PM with your e-mail address if I can help you.

I also have this outboard. My dad bought a Sea King fiberglas boat and motor from Montgomery Wards in 1960 and we have nursed it through the years. The lower unit starting leaking badly this spring and I couldn't put it in the water.

Dad loves this boat and I want to keep it running. I found a seal kit that might work for this boat and my mechanic is going to see if it works this week. If not, any assistance in helping me find spare parts along the way would be greatly appreciated.
