Go to an auto store and get a tap, and heli-coil for a 3/8-16 thread. This is an easy fix.

When you remove the broken bolt, you will need a 3/8", .375 drill. Tap the hole 7/16-14. The heli-coil will screw in, and then you are back to standard size. J-B weld is nothing but an epoxy with a metal filler, any drill will cut right through it. That stuff is mean't as a patch, it has very little strengh,in stretch, or torsion. You can't make threads out of it.

Use the same diections, that make's it a lot easier. Just drill, and install the heli-coil.

That was my mistake, I was thinking of a larger engine. That would be a 5/16- 18 thread.
