Does anybody have a 1960's Johnson Seahorse?
I have a 1960 18hp seahorse that is missing the latch for the cowling. I have a guy in Ohio that might have one in his pile of parts, but he is asking me for a photo of one to compare to.
Can someone take a picture of it and post it for me so I can show him what I am after?

Thanks,
ski

A model number can help us better identify the year of your motor.

In the text of the message he does say 1960 specifically. Which would make it an FD-14.

I have the parts manual for that engine which shows the latch. If you want it, PM me your email address and request.

True, but who knows if his year is acurate, unless we see a model number. In the repair business, I had lots of people give me years only to find they were off by at least 5. Don't want to sound harsh, but it's best to be sure, before money is spent on parts and shipping. :)
