I have a 1962 Cruiser inc. boat. I was wondering how much it is worth now and how much it will be worth after I restore it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has a floor on it. As you can see in the pictures I am restoring it.

Don't know much about old boat values, but i do know about market values. Right now it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. After the restore, it will be worth whatever value someone puts on your work and .... whatever they are willing to pay for it...

I am sure you are not restoring this with the intention of sale, but as a self gratifying project to save an old boat... Really no value for that...

Not my intention to hijack this tread, BUT

I'm looking for Cruiser's hardware, namely the bow chocks of this vintage. Appreciate any leads.

It is now worth what you piad for it!

However, wood boats do command a premium over plastic because of the nostalgia and workmanship factor. Again, though, it needs to be a hull that is in demand like an old Chris-Craft or Owens.

Anyway, restored and powered with a vintage restored engine, it should command a couple of bucks from a motivated buyer. BUT---you aren't going to retire on the money and may not even make back what you will invest, although being a wood hull from a known maker, you probably will be able to recoup your money.

Unless done professionally, making money on restoring any boat is difficult to do and hopefully you are doing it for the pleasure it gives you. Gunna look real nice as a Sunday driver

Ayuh,... At an Antique Boatshow it would be worth the Most.....
At the side of the road, it'd be another $500. boat....

Nice boat if you're into the Maintenance of a wood hull,+ have a dry place to store it...

I have a '61 that I restored and love it. That lap strake hull bites the water and it corners on a dime. Get it on the lake pulling a skier and it turns heads. You fix yours up and you won't regret it. Plastic boats may be tops for performance but there is nothing like wood on the water!

If you are restoring it to try to make a profit, stop right now - it isn't going to happen. Cruisers are nice boats, but they don't have the cache of a Lyman or the brand recognition of a Chris Craft. Only way you'd make money on it would if it was owned by someone else and they were paying you to restore it.

If you do want to restore it, do it because you like the boat and will keep it to use yourself. As noted above, it is a good boat to use. Enjoy!

I'm not going to sell the boat. I'm having fun restoring it. I'm hoping to finish it by Spring. I can't wait to try it out!!!

I love the inside wood work. There is no craftsmanship to be found today of that quality. Based on its age how many coats of paint are on the hull? I would be very careful sanding to retain all of the crisp edges.

Could you post a close up of the dash emblem?
