Been awhile since I posted. Hope everyone is doing well. Summer is over so time to get back to refurbing some motors. I just picked up a 10 hp 1962 Johnson. Has a broken shift lever. Do I need to replace the the whole lever or does it come in a couple of pieces. Can anyone give me a part # and details how to replace. Thanks and good to be back. Thanks, Mettyfish

Re: 1962 Johnson 10 hp

Hey bk. Ya I have been crazy busy this summer therefore my motors have been sitting idle. It is just the upper portion of the handle so should not have to take off the powerhead. Hook me up with your parts buddy as I do need the part. Thanks, Mettyfish

Page 3 part 18. How does that stay in place? Mine seems to want to come with the rope when I pull it. Is there a retainer or something? Mettyfish

I bought this motor without a prop. Will a 56 10 hp prop fit on the 1962? Thanks, Mettyfish
