1962 Sea King 9 hp. Problem

Got a 62 sea king that wont idle down.

I have adjusted the carb till I am blue in the face, and dont know what else to do. You pull the choke, it starts and dies, push the choke in and it starts, but as soon as you idle it down, it dies. Any suggestions?

You probably need to go through the carb and clean all passages and jets.

Before you do, find out what you have. I don't think there was a 1962 Sea King 9hp. Sea Kings were made by Gale up through 1963, and Chrysler after that. Gale had no 9hp, but Chrysler did. Not to mention the Clinton-built Sea Kings.
