1963 18 hp evinrude had spark and lost it?

I replaced the points and condensers last week and found that the oil wicks were missing. Checked spark and was jumping 1/2 in gap on both plug wires great. Opened the top back up to replace the missing wicks put it back together and lost my spark on the tester even at 1/4 in. I did get shocked bad trying to hold the tester. Where did my spark go?

Could be bad spark plug wires. Very common on these older motors. You can buy the kits from your dealer and build them yourself. WD40 helps as a lubricant for assembly.
