can the ignition system be checked with a multimeter on this motor? i have a very strange problem with it . it starts first pull and runs great till warmed up then drops a cyl. the droped cyl will come back to life at wot some times but dies out at anything less untill cooled off. i think its the plug wires failing due to the rotation of the throtle plate(guess) compression and gas flow are great.... thanks

open the inspection plate on the flywheel and take a look at the coils, if discolored cracking, etc, there's the problem. it's easier to replace all the componets at one time, than keep pulling the flywheel. if it looks like this, time to refurbish.
