Good Morning -
Is anything else I should be looking for besides a bum impeller water pump when I remove my lower unit. I took my Sportwin out for a short ride at low speed last Sunday, when I had been about 200 yards I noticed the motor just sounded different, running smooth, just different. I'm pretty sensitive to changes, etc. Anyway, I looked back at the exhaust and it looked like it was peeing ok. In addition to peeing out both sides, does it also pee out the exhaust port? Anyway, I slowed down to idle speed and was preparing to shut the motor off when it shut it self off. I took off the cover and it was HOT. Not seized up HOT but still really hot. It was late and getting dark and I had to pack up to come back to work and so I didn't get a chance to do anything else. About two months ago, I installed a brand new impeller and its been running cool and smooth ever since. Any thoughts?
