I bought this boat today, been looking for a nice older cabin cruiser, and found this one for a good deal. It says Lone Star on the side and paperwork, but the year is listed as "UK" (unknown), so I've spent the last 4 hours researching lone star boats and I'm pretty sure I've figured it out to be a Imperia, as far as I can tell they only made those for the 63 model year? can anyone verify this? Anyway as you can see in the picture, someone has added a covered area for the "driver", I was told the boat spent most of it's life on the Oregon coast, so extra cover from the elements would make since. The boat is in overall good shape, needs some work to make it look pretty again though. The biggest thing is the trailer is busted, has a spot that rusted out and came undone. I'm also worried about getting it registered as the HIN on the title is different then the tag on the boats transom, however it seems to have been this way for at least three owners biased on the paperwork I have, so maybe no one ever checks the numbers out? I hope to make this boat nice again, does anyone have interier pictures of a restored Imperia so I can get ideas of how it used to look?
Also it has a 75hp Chrysler motor on it, Does anyone know if this was a motor that would have come with it new, or is there a way to tell the year of the motor?
