1964 28 hp evinrude steering bracket

I am tiring to hook up the old cable and drum steering , What bracket do i need to hook up to the motor, all i have is the keyhole in the handle, and where can i buy one at? i see many different types on ebay but see none in the parts list for that year of motor...

That bracket was fairly standard.-------Used from the mid 50's to mid 1970's.-----Should be easy to decide what you need.----Post some pictures of items on E-BAY.

You can make one out of a piece of angle iron. one bolt in the center bend the corners to help keep it aligned with the bracket.
2 holes to connect the cable with S hooks or a snap.You'll need a couple of springs to keep the tension.
