Hi, I want to do tune up kit for the old motor.

Is every thing under a fly wheel?. thank you.

That mite cover some of the eletrical,but you need to consider the carb also.

If you don't even know where the stuff is, I'll bet you don't know how to properly remove and reinstall the flywheel either, do you. Coming right up---one more messed up classic motor with a destroyed flywheel and crankshaft. I hope I'm wrong. But I just hate to see these fine old classic motors destroyed. Once they are gone, they are gone forever.

You really do need a repair manual and prepare yourself with some basic knowledge. THEN go for it.

yes, I have a service manual for it. My first motor i learn how to do lower unit.
And cleaned carb. and messed around with carb rebuild. I also work with 2002
Mercury electric start and converted to remote and console. plus I do most basic maintainence on car. I learn by doing it. I pretty much look for a hence, ideals, and i just go for it. I just never work on a very old out board before.

I winterized my own 2006 185 sport, by getting info from iboats website.

This website is very helpful. with knodlegea ble people here.
