I am working on a '64 9.5hp Johnson for a friend. When I removed the magneto plate one of the plug wires was routed in such a way that as soon as it left the coil it was turned around 180 degrees to go in the opposite direction. I took pictures but they didn't save in my "gallery" on my phone so a description is all I have. All of the other OMC motors I've wired have the plug wire exit the coil and then follow the natural curve of the plate around the outside where it eventually meets up with the second wire and both continue on to the back of the motor.

So, my question is, what is the correct method of routing the plug wires around the magneto plate on one of these 9.5 motors.
Does anyone have a photo I can look at?

Thanks,

Don't have a picture, but have a gut feeling they are correct as is. That 9.5 is a bit of a special design.
