1964 merc 85 tilt tube

I have 64 Merc 85hp, s/n 1757362, when I tilt the motor by hand it stays where ever I stop. how do I grease it? I can't find any grease fittings on the tilt. Also how can I tell what model it is? Thanks for any and all help!!!<br /><br />Rat
