I just bought a 1964 sears 7.5 motor and the guy said is runs fine. I got it home and the piece thats behing the prop (i dont know what it is) was cracked and there was no lower unit fluid. So i filled it up and started it but now it wont engage in gear and the prop wont move and it doesnt **** out any water so im not really sure whats wrong with it. The model number is 574-60100

Welcome to iboats and you were screwed. :(

I hope you didn't pay much. Parts are going to be about impossible to find. Don't spend much time or money on it. You may be better off eBaying it. Just represent it accurately. Somebody may want it for parts.

On the other hand, there may be a Neutral on that and the water pump and prop won't turn until it's engaged. Let's hope for the latter. Good luck.
