I have recently purchased a 1965 fiberglass Starcraft, and it is in really good shape. There are a couple of "dings" or "knicks" in the fiberglass, however they are small about 1/4" square, and not very deep. It looks as if the dings went through one layer, however not through another layer that looks like the rough fiberglass layer?
Can anyone out there help me with the following:
1) Is there a product like a bondo or something that I can fill in these small dings and sand smooth after? If so what is the best product to use?
2) Will I have to paint or apply a sealent to the area that is fixed once I have done it, or can I just leave the "bondo" type material exposed.
3) I am also going to apply bottom paint to my boat, will this make a difference in terms of what I can and can't repair and what products I can use to do it.
Thanks
