Hello folks:
I have a 1965 40hp Johnson and a 1959 35hp Johnson that look remarkably similar. I was wondering if parts were interchangeable? If so, what limitations may this interchangeability have? Thanks in advance for your help.

Some parts are interchangeable,but other parts like the carburetor and the rods are very different.It is however very possible that many parts on the 35 have been scavenged of another 40 horse
