1965 65 HP merc

Just got this engine on a fiberglass boat I picked up. Starts and idles great, however seems to bog compared to my other 65 horse merc, particularly after half throttle to full throttle. Foundbad bulb and replaced, still not getting her to open all the way up. Is there anything else I should look at? Maybe some type of fuel treatment or cleaning the fuel system. Serial number 1804217, anyone have any suggestions for me, would be greatly appreciated. Seems like a fuel issue, but I am not very familiar with these engines. Thanks again for any help you can provide to me.

Are you using fresh fuel? Check compression. Make sure the carbs are opening completely at WOT. Buy two carb kits, fuel pump kit and an impeller kit and install them. Make sure the idle screws properly adjusted.

All already done, going to try a different prop, someone put an 11 on it and the local boat tech says it is way to big for what I am pushing through the water, we will see. Wish me luck.

It is a 16 ft SeaSwirl. Fiberglass boat.
