1965 Evinrude seal replacement?

Okay i just got this 1965 5hp Evinrude Angler and i would like to replace the seal seal that seperates the water pump from the lower gear case. Question is how do i get it out? Do i just use a flat head and pry or does is there a special tool? For reference it is number 20 on this parts diagram: Evinrude Gearcase Group Parts for 1965 5hp 5502 Outboard Motor

A flat screwdiver will work. Just be careful prying on the surrounding castings. I use a thin piece of soft wood to protect the castings. You can also use coarse thread drywall screws. Drill a couple holes into the outer rim of the seal, thread in the screws and use them to lift out the old seal. A small slide hammer with the right jaws seems to work the best though.

A common seal puller is what I use. No need to mess around then. Pops out with ease.
