Hi all - model number FDL-19D 1965 Johnson Seahorse 18hp - is the flywheel nut a 'standard ' thread ie turn clockwise to tighten, or the reverse of that? I found to my cost that my old Yamaha 12hp had a left hand thread, so thought I'd better check before attacking my Johnson!

Many thanks

The Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines as well as all OMC engines have right hand threads (clockwise to tighten).
