Hi again! I've just discovered that I don't have a t/stat in my motor! I read on here somewhere that the thermostat didn't change for many many years and the only one I get in the UK at a reasonable price is described as "JOHNSON OUTBOARD GENUINE THERMOSTAT - 2 STROKE ENGINES P/No.5005440. THIS THERMOSTAT FITS THE JOHNSON & EVINRUDE OUTBOARDS

A FEW MODELS LISTED

40 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 75

ALL V4 & V6 MODELS

ETEC"

The seller doesn't know if it will fit mine. Can anyone here advise please?

Don't know if that attachment worked....

It certainly looks like the right one.I just put an Identica lone in my 69 fasttwin. You will need the rubber grommet that sits atop it as well.

That is the correct current part number for your thermostat. It won't do you any good without the seal 310058 that goes with it. The seal snaps onto the rim of the thermostat, skirt pointing down.
