Has anyone tried to match the color of the Bahama, sort of a turquoise color. If so, wondering if you have the magic formula of color mix.

What site is that?

What!!! you mean the Glassers don't have a web forum. Just thought they would. Damn I hate it when my old mind goes crazy. Thanks I hope he finds what he needs.

Here is my current idea. One of the Gel Coat companies can match a piece of Gel Coat or a paint. So I am hoping if I can get a latex to match (maybe scan the hull) I can send a sample to get pre-matched Gel Coat.

Autobody supply stores can scan your color and give an accurate mix in 'their' paint or a chart number you can use to find the best/closest replacement color.
Dupont (IMHO) is close to the best paint.

As for latex?...that doesn't belong on a boat!

No, the latex was only to get the color correct to send to a company that can scan and color match the Gel Coat. Wouldn't be put on the boat. Didn't think of an autobody shop, I know someone who has an excellent paint matching setup at his body shop.

Sorry Vettenuts, I realize the latex reference now!

I've had good results using Dupont to cross reference paint, either the scan method or their color charts.

A good paint mixer can use the Dupont mix to convert it to almost any type of paint....enamel, lacquer, base coat/clear coat...etc
Give the gel-coat supplier the Dupont number and a sample.

Good luck and post them finished pictuers:):):)
