Hi Jason,<br /> Yes, you can, but as BoatTinker noted, it's not as easy as slapping a handle on there and going on your way. I've got a '69 35hp tiller that uses much of the same hardware you'll need. I believe the '66 uses the later style tiller parts and was the first year for that style. It also incorporates the shifter. You can see a pic of my 35 and a '66 50hp on my website (see my profile). The tillers turn up with some regularity on eBay and will require a fair amount of disassembly to install it. The anchor for the tiller is part of what would be the steering arm for the remote steering attachment. On my 35 it was a bolt-on, but it is different on the 50 which is where changing the belly pan and steering anchor arm come in...<br />- Scott
