I am hoping someone out there can help me with the removal of the carb on this unit. The bolts mounting the carb to the intake manifold are very difficult to get at. Any suggestion, do I need to remove the recoil starter first or the choke linkages (with all the connections seem to end up back under the flywheel)?

Thanks

OK, I'm a sucker so I'll bite>>WHAT choke connections that end up under the flyweel?? There is only the choke knob held on by a pin.

Remove the carburetor hose from the fuel pump.

Remove the two bolts from the top of the recoil starter, then lift it slightly, just enough to pull it out of the lower mount, then tilt it to one side, out of the way. Now you can get the carburetor nut off.

Once the two nuts are off, slide carburetor off the mounting studs, then tilt an pull it away from the front panel.

Easy.

got it off..thanks to you both

I was referring to the seemingly endless linkages that began at the choke knob and were still connected to the throttle spring...just an observation
