Are the rotors arching through to ground, are they melting?

Are they OEM rotors. Is the little brush and spring between the rotor and dist cap?

They are OEM rotors, actually they NOS. I'll double check tonight but I beleive the Spring and brush are in place. Just a thought, as I am using NOS rotors, does anyone beleive that the plastic has broken down and maybe more sensitive to shorting out.

Put some dielectric grease on the mag shaft before installing the next rotor.
