I just replaced the spark plug, spark plug wires, fuel pump, carberator(rebuilt?. The motor finally starts and runs good, but it wants to miss at low idle. It does not die, but every few seconds it sounds like it will. It only does this at idle and seems to run great with a little throttle. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance for any help.
Dustin

Dustin,

Turn your low speed mixture needle OUT slightly. Do this in increments of about 1/4 turn at a time.

Thanks Djohns...
I tried the low speed mixture and it did not help. I got to thinking, though. The motor seemed hard to start everytime now and wanted the throttle held wide open. Once I finally paid attention, I thought to check the primer bulb to see if it had lost its prime. Sure enough, the moment the motor started to skip, the bulb had gone soft. While constantly pumping the bulb, the motor ran great. After noticing this, I also noticed that the fuel line that supplies the fuel pump has not been replaced and I can see little cracks in it. Would this likely be the problem, or should I take the carb off again and try to clean it better? Thanks again for the help.
Dustin
