I'm shopping for a 15-20HP motor and my budget is restricted. I've come across a Johnson 20 HP Mod. # FD200 Ser. # 12677618 , supposedly from 1966. The owner has had it since 1990 as a backup motor, and it was hardly used and has been in storage the past few years. Compression test was 120 each cylinder. I was told it takes 3-4 pulls to get it to start when cold, but once it warms up it starts first pull. is this something to be expected with an older motor or is it a sign of problems.
